Rare RHD – 1969 Porsche 911S Coupe

From a production date of April 1969, this B Series, 911 S Coupe is originally manufactured to United Kingdom specification and as such is Right Hand Drive, from a production year of 1,492 vehicles it is believed less than 30 came to the UK, with little more than 10 UK specification models still in roadworthy existence. It is shown in its original, most desirable, Colour/Code 6802 (Polo Red), and the car clearly has been altered to replicate 1972/73 models, but the basic fundamentals of the body remain intact. Admittedly the interior, although practical but not original, is believed to be from a later 1974/75 model but not unreasonably difficult to revert back to the correct year/model specification. The Certificate of Authenticity shows the car was originally supplied to the United Kingdom (believed, Porsche Isleworth), the vehicle was supplied with options: Head Rest on Left Seat, Rear Wiper (not showing, but shows existence of a wiring loom on the rear engine hood), and Erased Steering Hub.

This car is offered to require bodywork restoration from surface rusting, the vehicle’s original Matching Number engine (6391410), and Transmission 7195693 were supplied with the vehicle from new. Today the vehicle is offered with an engine/transmission combination from a European, 1972 911T (non fuel injection). It is noted that the car has invoices for close to £20,000 relating to engine rebuilding, carburettor change to a triple Weber setup from this engine type (Tin) Zenith, and drivetrain works all within the last 3,000 miles, although this does relate to over 7 years. The current wheels are fuchs dated 9/71 with the inserts and rears repainted black.
