XX SOLD XX – 1972 Porsche 911T Targa LHD

We are so pleased that the vehicle will be shortly heading to Wales, UK – where the new owner(s) have an exciting project to convert to an Electric Vehicle (E.V).

From a production date of November 1971, this E Series 911T Targa has a 2.4L engine fitted to Mechanical Fuel Injection to produce an impressive 140 horsepower at 5600rpm and is from a production year of 1,821 vehicles. This USA model car is shown painted in its listed Colour/Code 1510 (Irish Green), and still retains, although tatty, its original Beige Leatherette interior. The car shows the single year ‘Oil Flap’ on the rear wing which Porsche removed due to being mistaken for fuel filling. The Letter of Origin shows the car was originally supplied to Porsche Cars Philadelphia from new. The vehicle is factory optioned to Comfort Equipment, set apart by the gold plate make/model lettering on the rear engine hood, being supplied with Leather Steering Wheel, Instruments and Oil Tank like 911S, with factory additional options of 6×15″ Alloys (no longer with the car) and an Antenna.

This car is offered to require full restoration (rolls and steers) and as a mostly solid and neglected early 911, first year, long wheel base. The vehicle documentation lists its original Matching Number engine 6120951 and transmission 7322331 supplied from new, which are no longer present with the vehicle. Although this car has had the engine/transmission removed and are no longer with the car there is strong potential to restore and transform to an original, period correct, much in demand, early Long Wheel Base (LWB) Porsche, or as an excellent starting point for an Electric Vehicle (EV) conversion at a low entry price.

The vehicle is currently located in our warehouse on Guernsey; we have held the car for close to 6 years from originally being found in Calgary and imported via British Columbia, Canada. We hold a full, signed Porsche ‘Letter of Origin’ but do not have the original vehicle logbook/license and as such will be sold with a ‘bill of sale’ only. We are happy to help with worldwide shipping, or short term owner’s risk storage free for the first six months and available to extend to a longer term if required.
