1970 Porsche 911T Targa LHD

Category:

POA.
From a production date of November 1970, this D Series, 911T Targa has a 2.2L engine fitted through with triple Zenith carburettors to produce an impressive 125 horsepower at 5800 rpm. This USA model car is shown repainted to what we believe to be Colour/Code 1310 (Bahia Red) from its original Colour/Code 8010 (Silver Metallic), and still retains the original Black Leatherette interior. The Certificate of Authenticity shows the car was originally supplied to Porsche Boston from new. The vehicle is factory optioned to Comfort Equipment, set apart by the gold plate make/model lettering on the rear engine hood, being supplied with Leather Steering Wheel, Instruments and Oil Tank like 911S, Blaupunkt Frankfurt Radio, and 5.5×14″ Fuchs Alloy Wheels, Bumpers Horns with rubber buffers, and Wheel Arch trims also shows up as a good worthwhile addition to this vehicle.

This car is offered to require sympathetic restoration and with not unreasonable fabrication requirements around the rear glass window (rear glass shown, currently removed). The vehicle shows and retains its original Matching Number engine 6115061 and Transmission (not listed on the Certificate of Authenticity) supplied with the vehicle from new. Although this car today shows many years of warehouse storage it does show the full potential to restore and transform to an original, much in demand, early Long Wheel Base (LWB) Porsche. Porsche engine upgrades across the range on this D Series included: receiving oil squirters to cool the pistons, and the fuel pump was relocated from the front to the rear of the vehicle for greater efficiency and safety. The vehicle is currently located in our warehouse in Guernsey, we are happy to help with worldwide shipping, or short term owner’s risk storage free for the first six months and available to extend to a longer term if required.
