This classic TR6 although original in appearance has been transformed with an uprated modern Chevrolet V6, 3.4L fuel injection engine, coupled to an IROC T5 World Class Transmission, through to a Nissan R200 / 4.10 ratio rear Differential, the cooling system is through an early Mustang radiator. The car has been rewired with new fuse set, both Suspension and Brakes are uprated (Disc brakes all round), there is variable electric power steering leading to 17″ Minilite alloy wheels.
Fundamentally the vehicle has a larger throttle barrel, enlarged fuel pump, enlarged ported air flow throughout. The ECU has been rewritten to keep the standard size injectors but gives a longer fuel pulse to supply more fuel on demand, the OBU diagnostics remains with plug-in socket for fault finding. The dashboard and steering have been remade/replaced to keep the original wooden design on newer electronic Dolphin dial sets.
We believe the car offers reasonable fuel consumption, offering around 220 horsepower at the flywheel and around 210 horsepower at the wheels, although not dyno tested. An emission certificate and recorded register are held from testing and registration in Canada (point of build and steering conversion to RHD). The vehicle shows a recorded mileage of under 1500 miles since body off restoration and engine conversion of which just under 1000 miles were in testing and vehicle set up. The build was from Bill Sinclair and Dave Renner, of British Restorations and Sinner Performance, with influence from Richard Good Motorsports. Needless to say a huge spend: thought and time has gone into this car.
